Easy Vegan Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

3 cups:   flour
2 cups:   sugar
¾ cup:   cocoa
2 cups:   water
1 cup:   oil
2 tsp:   baking soda
2 tsp:   vanilla
1 tsp:   salt
¼ cup:   cider or balsamic vinegar

Serves: 12-15
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 40 minutes

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • 2 cup water (or soy or rice milk)
  • 1 cup of oil (sun­flower or vegetable)
  • 2 tsp bak­ing soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup cider or bal­samic vinegar

direc­tions

Pre­heat oven 350°. Lightly grease pans & dust with cocoa pow­der or flour.
Sift the dry ingre­di­ents together. Mix in the water, oil, and vanilla.
Mix vine­gar and bak­ing soda in sep­a­rate bowl and then add to mix­ture.
Spoon the mix­ture into  cake pan or a cup­cake papers. Bake for approx­i­men­taly 40 min­utes for cake or 20 min­utes for cupcakes.
