Live music at Earth Day

The celebration of the 41st Earth Day at Lake Eola Park on Saturday April 23, 2011 was enjoyed by many.

There were vegan food vendors, live music, entertainment, eco-friendly vendors, mind body spirit activities, animal haven, artist corner, speakers, presentations, environmental education, humane education, earth kids zone and much more!

The vegan cuisine choices were a plenty! My guest and I tried the sweet potato and black bean burrito from Infusion Tea. It was very flavorful and pipping hot. We also tried the rainbow edamame salad with fresh spinach, garbanzo and black beans, which was delicious as well.

Orlando Brewery Pale Ale and Florida Mojito at Earth Day

Orlando Brewing poured icy cold Organic Pale Ale brew and served up bubbly and refreshing Florida Mojitos made with champagne.

There were many vegan sweets to choose from including cinnamon swirl cupcakes and sugar cookies from Raphsodic Cooperative Company. Babycakes NYC offered vegan doughnuts, brownie bites and cookies.

It was a great day to be outside in the sunshine celebrating Earth Day at Lake Eola. I look forward to visiting the local vendors around Orlando featured at the event and will definitely be attending Earth Day at Lake Eola in 2012!
